Ward 2 is home to several well-established communities including Sheridan Homelands, Park Royal, Clarkson and Lorne Park. According to the 2011 Census data, the ward’s population is 48,165 and that makes it the second smallest in the city based on population size.
Long on tradition and home to a number of heritage sites including Bradley Museum and Benares Historic House, the ward also features some spectacular natural areas including Rattray Marsh and Jack Darling Memorial Park.
The ward is also home to Sheridan Research Park, which houses a number of companies and organizations including Imax, SNC Lavalin and Hatch as well as the RIC (Research Innovation Commercialization) Centre.
In the south-west corner of the ward bordering Oakville sits the second largest industrial area in Mississauga.
