• Mississauga Bike Challenge

The Active Transportation Office has launched a bike challenge to promote, grow and measure cycling in the city. The Mississauga Bike Challenge will challenge residents, employees and visitors to collectively cycle 150,000 kilometres between June 29 and September 17, 2017 to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.

Participating in the Mississauga Bike Challenge is free, easy and fun. Residents can sign up at mississaugabikes.ca, ride their bicycles, keep track and log their kilometres to help Mississauga reach the 150,000 kilometre community goal. The City will plant one tree for every 150 kilometres cycled and logged to thank participants for cycling and contributing towards the community goal. Participants will earn a tree award in their bike challenge profile and will receive an invitation to plant the trees they earn at a Mississauga Bike Challenge tree planting event in the fall of 2017 and spring of 2018.
