War of the Wards is a friendly competition among the Wards in our city, while promoting our local hockey team.

    TICKETS

Tickets are discounted for the War of the Wards – again this year they will be 2 for 1.

Red seats only; adult pricing only. Regular price is $16.90 (fees and taxes included).  With the War of the Wards discount, two tickets for $16.90.

The Steelheads are allocating certain rows of seats for each participating ward in the western part of the bowl, so attendees representing our awesome Ward 2 can sit together!

Purchasing online: Here is the direct link that residents can use to purchase the 2 for 1 tickets: http://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/10004F142031DD08?did=ward2. Our required code is ward2. Upon clicking the link, a page will pop up with the available seats for purchase in our ward’s designated area.

Purchasing at the box office: You can purchase tickets directly at the Hershey Centre box office in advance of the game or on game day. Same price applies – $16.90 for two red tickets. Box office is open Monday to Friday 9 to 5, Saturday 10 to 4 and two hours before game time. Every effort will be made to place War of the Ward ticket buyers in their ‘ward section,’ however, on game day there is no guarantee that this can be accommodated if tickets are purchased just before the game starts and seats in their ward section are no longer available.

The competition for the “Most Fanatical Ward” trophy will be judged by three members of the Steelheads Admin Staff. The criteria they will use is as follows:

Most attendees – 10 pts for first, 5 pts for second, 2 pts for third

Loudest fans – 5 pts for first, 2 pts for second

    Best dressed – 5/2

    Best poster – 5/2

    On-ice competition – 5/2

The judging panel will make their decision mid-way through the third period and the trophy will be handed out during a brief stoppage in play just before the end of the third period.
